How to use Palo Santo burning sticks

  1. *Select Palo Santo Stick*: Choose a Palo Santo stick that is dry and has a light, sweet scent.

 

  1. *Prepare a Safe Space*: Find a heat-resistant dish or abalone shell to catch the ashes while burning the Palo Santo.

 

  1. *Light the Stick*: Hold one end of the Palo Santo stick and use a lighter, match, or candle to ignite the other end.

 

  1. *Allow it to Burn*: Let the stick burn for about 30 seconds to a minute, then gently blow out the flame, allowing the stick to smolder.

 

  1. *Smudging or Clearing*: Move around your space, spreading the smoke with a feather or your hand. Focus on areas you want to cleanse, such as your home, office, or yourself.

 

  1. If only using to burn and release it's powerful fragrance, complete steps (1,2,3,4 and 7).

 

  1. *Set Intentions*: As you walk around, set intentions for what you want to bring into your space or release.

 

  1. *Extinguish Safely*: Once you've finished, place the stick in the heat-resistant dish or shell to let it burn out. Ensure it's fully extinguished before leaving it unattended.
